The curtains and windows are open, fresh air and sunlight is shining through the house and those beautiful cherry blossoms are everywhere in our gorgeous city. It is time to refresh and renew for the spring! A good spring clean makes me feel organized and ready to face the rest of the year with renewed energy and a positive attitude.
Part of my Spring regime (besides the fab new wardrobe of course!) includes updating my hair. I love transitioning from the dark looks of winter to the fun and flirty spring hair trends that start to emerge in the early days of March and April.
If you’re like me and have tried every hair style under the sun (remember the Rachel?) not all of them have been winning. Luckily, this year I am seeing exciting and easy to maintain trends come to life from flirty colours to vibrant hues, timeless looks, and simple style refreshers. Maybe the idea of a melting of balayage colour, a soft layered bob or classic textured curls gets your hair senses tingling?! Rumour has it that Chatters Salon has the best colour stylists around and that Shears Hair Design will give you that balayage to die for.
Looking to quickly update your look without a big hair overhaul? Use accessories to bring your braids, buns, pony tail, and natural curls to an on-trend life! Clip a fabric bow to your low knot, wrap a scarf around your hairline tying the knot in front for a beachy vacay vibe, add satin bows to your sleek buns, weave a coloured ribbon into your crown braid or simply slide on an elastic headband leaving your curls fun and fancy free!
Personally, I’ve gone with a few highlights and a soft textured bob to start the spring off on a lighter note and begin to lighten my dark locks up leading into the summer. What will you try from these ideas? The only thing missing is your fabulous hair and a little bit of creativity so go “a-head” and get styling
