Apples to Apples – Comparing Top-Tier Phone Cameras

We’ve been having a lot of foodie-themed fun throughout the whole month of August for #FEASTatWestshore and since we’ve been eating a lot of food, filming a lot of food and of course snapping pics of a lot of food for the ‘gram, we asked the specialists at Freedom Mobile here at Westshore Town Centre to talk to us about phone cameras.  Which ones are better?  What’s the difference?  Together we came up with a fun experiment to test out the cameras of four top-tier phones, foodie-style.

We’ve posted four photos taken of the same meal (so delicious, thank you Romeos!) using four different phones.  No filters or no alterations were made to the photos, except the automatic file reduction made by posting to this platform.  Click on the phone title to open a new window and see the full sized image.

#1:  iPhone 11 Pro Max

#2:  LG Velvet

#3: Samsung Note 20 Ultra

#4:  Samsung S20 Ultra

What do you think?  They’re all very similar, but look closely and you’ll see slight differences in colouring and depth of field.  Who did it best?  Phone 1, 2, 3 or 4?  Chime in on our Instagram page and tell us your thoughts.
