Is it Time for a New ‘Do?

When’s the last time you changed up your hair? If you’re debating a new ‘do or considering a cool colour for the summer, there’s a few questions you should ask before you bust out the bleach or lose your length.

Will this look good on me?

While we fully believe in you do you, some hair styles and colours are better suited to certain face shapes, hair types, and skin tones. Before you book your appointment and hop in the stylist chair, try a fun hairstyling app for a virtual preview of what you may look like with your new ‘do.

Am I willing to invest in a new style?

Changing your hair colour or styling routine can mean investing both time and money to keep your new look looking fresh. Hair colour can require regular root touch ups and toner to maintain your desired colour, in addition to colour safe shampoo and conditioner. And that amazing haircut and salon blowout we all love? Replicating that at home may require more tools and products than your current routine. Be sure to discuss with your stylist ahead of time about how much time your desired look will take and what you need to do to look salon fresh at home.

Do I want a big change?

Sometimes we just need a little refresh and not a big overhaul. If you’re in the mood for a low-risk, low-cost change, try parting your hair differently, leave it down if you typically wear it up (or vice versa) or add a colourful headband, scrunchie, or claw clip to your look.

Whatever look you’re rocking this summer, we hope you look and feel fabulous.
