Hopefully you’ve been following our self-care series over the past few weeks (if you need to catch up, click here, here and here), where our goal is to encourage each other to truly take a little time for ourselves, putting our needs above those of everyone around us, even if just for a few moments.
We started out our series with simple things to do that took very little time or effort. Today’s will require just a little bit of advance planning, and about 90 minutes out of your day.
Our challenge for this self-care exercise is just that: exercise. We encourage you to take an hour for yourself and try a free introductory class at OrangeTheory Fitness.
You’ll need to call ahead (the number is 250-483-7444) and book a class. Give yourself about 30 minutes before the class starts for an orientation, and to the meet the trainer that you’ll be working with. OrangeTheory combines cardio and strength training for a high intensity interval training workout that will get your blood pumping and those endorphins flowing.
It will be a challenge, and you might be sore the next day, but you’ll feel amazing!
